The #aCreativeDC feed was L I T U P this weekend with amazing imagery from Trillectro Festival; now in its fourth year, DCtoBC's annual happening found its way over to Merriweather (as all things good, local, and in need of infrastructure that, say, an unfortunately-crumbling RFK can't provide, do). We especially loved Random Nerds' take on the RL Grime + Chance The Rapper-headlined day (see also: WaPo, and Made in the District's behind the scenes + pre-party coverage). We're glad to share some E L E C T R I C live shots + street style/crowd snaps by two of our favorite names to see in the #aCreativeDC stream – Sabrina Vaz-Holder (^^^) (@sabrinafvholder) and Tobi Oluwo (@theboyintime).

TONS GOING ON at the Anacostia Arts Center: above, one of our fave DC film photographers, Donnie Gerald, collaborated with floral artist Taffy Floral and stylist Tamanh Nguyen on SEAMS, a photo show opening this evening at Homme DC. Stop by for that, and be sure to check out Memory Flood, too, which features an all-star line up of women visual artists, curated by Molly Ruppert.

THE FACTORY SESSIONS. Dolcezza is kicking off a new event series on Monday with Baby Bry Bry & Friends! We love this so much that we were attempting to get flowery with the verbiage, but it might be best to just keep it simple: you can't beat the price/location/general vibes, and we'll be there Monday for sure.

Dayanita Ramesh is a comic comic! She does stand up comedy and writes/illustrates comics about a girl who deals with real and surreal issues. She loves art, loves to talk about feminism, race and economics (amongst other things), and really loves cookies. She moved to Washington D.C. in 2012 to go to graduate school at Johns Hopkins SAIS, and has a B.A. and M.A. in International Relations & Economics.
